What is not to love? A cute and cozy dog friendly cafe with well made drinks, fluffy croissants, and thick bagels that come toasted with cream cheese. I have only had their espresso-based drinks and I found them to be top notch - none of that sourness that I sometimes find in underextracted brews. I am still relatively new to LA but so far this is my favorite coffee shop based on drinks alone. I look forward to coming back to sampling more of their menu and picking up a bag of their beans (the flavored coffees look fun!).

Really like it here but they really need more than one person working at a time. Lines can be 20 min long and I feel bad for the one barista having to take orders and make the coffee. A stamp card would also be nice. But the coffee is good. Cold brew is great and everyone who works there is wonderful.

The best coffee and other drinks, the best staff - totally cheerful and helpful - it is almost shocking, power outlets a plenty. Quality chess outside. The only problem is there are customers here who will do zoom calls, phone calls, detonation of nuclear weapons, inside the place. no decorum from that asian lady who does the zoom calls, the guy in the toupee who watches chess and comments outloud and the random millenial just acting out. If you are unlike me and not afflicted with autism and can deal with the loud customers, this is the best coffee joint in l.a.

It's cozy, a little careworn, and has lots of outlets. The coffee is reasonably priced and comes in 20oz servings. The bagels are pretty dang good. This is the coffee shop I've been looking for since moving to LA, one that feels like a living room rather than an interior design shop. Unfortunately, it's understaffed. The one person behind the counter was doing her best to keep up. The bathrooms are also a bit creepy. They are in need of more light and a fresh coat of paint.

I've been coming here for YEARS, and always loved this 90's time capsule! (The PDR location is pretty great, too!) All of the staff (at both locations) have been good, but, today, I was really impressed by Elaina (hope I spelled that right). She was friendly, authentic, professional and had a great playlist on; fully rounding out the, "Singles," (movie) vibe. As a business, it's usually pretty clean, the products are quality and decently priced, and everyone feels at home. Even the supposedly normal person that "didn't know how" to enter the code for the bathroom door They rolled in with a ridiculously cologned dude. That was right after a jerk rang the bell for service IMMEDIATELY as he got to the counter, even though he walked straight from the door to the register, not even looking behind the counter; the barista was literally standing 2 feet away from the register. That's the worst of it, most customers are pretty rad. Sigh... Show your barista some love, they deal with so much we hardly see, because of how good they are at their work.

Ambiance: it's a community coffee shop, with surf club style decorations, spacious indoor area and outdoor seating, definitely a lot of regulars here Service: super friendly and patient with specific requests Drink: standard options with daily speciality Caramel Latte - **** sweet and light taste, recommend Coffee of the Day - *** French vanilla, a bit bitter and sour Price: very affordable prices, most coffee drinks cost less than $5 each
